The College of Information Technology at Amman Arab University (AAU) Holds Training Workshop for Graduates on Learning Skills and Postgraduate Studies
The College of Information Technology at Amman Arab University held a training workshop for its graduates entitled “Towards a Distinguished Academic Future: Learning Skills and Postgraduate Studies.” Driven by Amman Arab University’s commitment to supporting academic excellence and developing the capabilities of its graduates, the College of Information Technology organized this specialized training workshop to equip graduates with the knowledge and skills needed to pursue successful academic and professional futures. The workshop was presented by Dr. Belal Khater, a faculty member in the Cybersecurity Department at the College of Information Technology. It was attended by a number of graduating students, as well as Dr. Kamal Alieyan, Assistant Dean of the College, and Dr. Hazem Alrabaiah, a faculty member in the Computer Science Department.
The workshop aimed to develop effective learning skills, enhance graduates’ academic and career planning abilities, and familiarize them with the mechanisms and requirements for pursuing postgraduate studies. It also sought to help graduates build successful academic and professional futures that keep pace with the rapid advancements in scientific and technological fields.
The workshop covered several important topics, including modern learning skills and time management, strategies for success in postgraduate studies, scholarship and grant opportunities, the development of scientific and research skills, modern scientific research methods, and effective academic planning. It also emphasized the importance of continuous learning as a cornerstone of success in the contemporary job market. The workshop witnessed remarkable interaction from the graduates through discussions, inquiries, and the exchange of experiences and ideas. Participants demonstrated significant interest in the topics presented, particularly those related to postgraduate opportunities and academic and professional preparation for the next stage of their careers.
In this regard, Dr. Rami Sihwail, Dean of the College of Information Technology at Amman Arab University, emphasized the College’s commitment to organizing specialized training programs and workshops that contribute to developing graduates’ skills and enhancing their academic and professional readiness. He noted that such initiatives align with the demands of the job market and the rapid advancements in technology and innovation. He also highlighted the importance of continuous learning and pursuing postgraduate studies in building a qualified workforce capable of competing and excelling in an increasingly dynamic and competitive environment.
