The College of Information Technology at Amman Arab University (AAU) held a training workshop for its graduates entitled “Towards a Distinguished Academic Future: Learning Skills and Pursuing Postgraduate Studies”
Based on Amman Arab University’s vision to enhance academic excellence, build the capabilities of its graduates, and prepare them to continue their academic and professional journeys, the College of Information Technology organized a specialized training workshop entitled “Towards a Distinguished Academic Future: Learning Skills and Pursuing Postgraduate Studies.” The workshop, presented by Dr. Belal Khater, a collage member in the Cybersecurity Department, was attended by several graduates interested in pursuing postgraduate studies.
The workshop was attended by Dr. Kamal Alieyan, Assistant Dean of the College of Information Technology at Amman Arab University, and Dr. Hazem Alrabaiah, a collage member in the Computer Science Department. The workshop aimed to enhance participants’ awareness of the importance of lifelong learning and effective academic planning, as well as highlight available opportunities for postgraduate studies. This contributes to supporting their academic aspirations and increasing their readiness to compete in advanced academic and professional environments. The workshop also focused on developing graduates’ effective learning skills, enhancing their abilities in academic and career planning, and introducing them to the mechanisms and requirements for enrolling in postgraduate programs. This aligns with the needs of the future and the rapid advancements in scientific and technological fields.
The workshop addressed several key themes, most notably: modern learning skills and time management; strategies for success in postgraduate studies; scholarship and grant opportunities; developing research skills and contemporary scientific research methods; and mechanisms for building a clear and organized academic plan. Emphasis was placed on the importance of lifelong learning as a fundamental pillar for success and advancement in the job market.
The workshop witnessed remarkable interaction from participants through purposeful discussions, inquiries, and the exchange of experiences. Graduates demonstrated significant interest in the topics covered. The session also addressed key issues related to postgraduate studies and the academic and professional readiness required for the next stage of life.
In this regard, Dr. Rami Sihwail, Dean of the College of Information Technology at Amman Arab University, emphasized the college’s commitment to organizing specialized training programs and workshops that contribute to developing graduates’ skills and enhancing their academic and professional preparedness. This aligns with the demands of the job market and the rapid advancements in technology and innovation. He also highlighted the importance of continuous learning and postgraduate studies in building a qualified workforce capable of competing and excelling.
