Dr. Omar Al-Jazy, Chairman of the Board of Trustees of Amman Arab University and a prominent Arab arbitration expert, delivered a specialized lecture at Damascus University on the role of arbitration in reconstruction. He emphasized that a stable legal environment and effective arbitration are crucial for attracting investment, protecting contractual rights, and accelerating strategic projects in post-conflict and developing countries. He reviewed successful international experiences and stressed the need for qualified legal cadres in international commercial arbitration. The lecture, attended by faculty, legal professionals, and postgraduate students, included an in-depth dialogue on legal challenges and prospects for developing arbitration in the Arab region to meet sustainable development goals.
