AAU Engineering Student Tala Al-Manasrah Wins the Al Thoman Scholarship as the First Female Student from Outside North America to Receive the Award

In a new international achievement added to the record of accomplishments of Amman Arab University and its students, and in line with the directives of Prof. Dr. Mohammad Al-Widyan, President of the University, and with the support and follow-up of Dr. Anwar Al-Assaf, Dean of the College of Engineering, Tala Hakam Abdulhakim Al-Manasrah, a student in the Department of Renewable Energy Engineering at the College of Engineering, has been awarded the Al Thoman Scholarship, valued at USD 7,500.

This achievement marks a significant milestone, as Al-Manasrah is the first female student from outside North America to receive the Al Thoman Scholarship, highlighting the outstanding caliber of Amman Arab University students and their ability to compete and excel on the international stage. Al-Manasrah is one of the distinguished students in the Department of Renewable Energy Engineering. She has actively participated in a range of activities and events related to energy and sustainability, in addition to her involvement in the activities of the Association of Energy Engineers (AEE) Student Chapter at Amman Arab University. The chapter provides students with valuable opportunities to develop their skills and engage with the global professional and engineering community.

The scholarship represents the legacy of Mr. Albert Thoman, a visionary leader who not only founded the Association of Energy Engineers (AEE), but also played a pivotal role in transforming it into a leading global organization in the energy sector.
