A New International Achievement for Amman Arab University (AAU): Four Female Students Win Prestigious Awards from the Association of Energy Engineers (AEE)
Amman Arab University continues to strengthen its academic standing and enhance its presence in international scientific and engineering forums by supporting its students and empowering them to apply their knowledge and skills in international competitions and programs. With the continuous support of Professor Dr. Mohammad Al-Widyan, President of the University, and under the guidance and follow-up of Dr. Anwar Al-Assaf, Dean of the College of Engineering, the University has achieved another remarkable accomplishment added to its record of achievements, as four female students from the College of Engineering have received prestigious international awards from the Association of Energy Engineers (AEE), in recognition of their excellence and contributions to the fields of energy, sustainability, and engineering leadership.
In an exceptional achievement, Tala Hakam Al-Manasrah received the Al Thumann Award, valued at US$7,500, becoming the first female student in the history of the award to receive it from outside North America. This remarkable accomplishment reflects the high level of excellence demonstrated by Amman Arab University students and their ability to compete successfully and establish a distinguished presence on the international stage.
The students Reem Riyad Khashan and Rama Hussam Mohammad also received two awards presented by the Council on Women in Energy and Environmental Leadership (CWEEL), valued at US$1,000 each, in recognition of their excellence and contributions to the fields of energy, environmental sustainability, and leadership.
Meanwhile, Marie Yahya Al-Louzi received a US$1,000 award from AEE International, providing further recognition of the outstanding achievements of Amman Arab University students and their distinguished presence in international energy and engineering forums.
The four award-winning students have also been invited to participate in AEE World, the international energy efficiency conference and exhibition, which will be held in Orlando, Florida, USA, from September 16–18. Their participation will provide them with a valuable opportunity to benefit from international expertise and experience, explore the latest developments and innovations in energy efficiency, and engage with experts, specialists, and researchers from around the world. This experience will further support their academic and professional development and strengthen their presence in international scientific and professional forums.

The Association of Energy Engineers (AEE) is a leading professional organization specializing in the energy sector. It was established in 1977 by Albert Thumann with the aim of promoting energy efficiency and developing a professional community dedicated to sustainable energy practices.
