Amman Arab University’s (AAU) Faculty of Engineering Renews Accreditation for Architecture and Civil Engineering Programs and Secures Accreditation for Renewable Energy Engineering for the First Time from the Arab Authority for Engineering and Technology Accreditation
In recognition of the diligent and ongoing efforts undertaken by Amman Arab University, with the support of Professor Dr. Mohammad Al-Wedian, President of the University, and under the guidance of Dr. Anwar Al-Assaf, Dean of the Faculty of Engineering, the Faculty has achieved a new academic milestone by renewing the accreditation of its Architecture Engineering and Civil Engineering programs and securing, for the first time, accreditation for its Renewable Energy Engineering program from the Arab Authority for Engineering and Technology Accreditation, affiliated with the Union of Arab Engineers, for a period of four years.
The accreditation decision followed the fulfillment of the required accreditation standards, the completion and submission of the university’s accreditation file, and the completion of the relevant evaluation and accreditation procedures. The decision was based on the recommendation of the specialized committee responsible for accrediting engineering programs, which recommended renewing the accreditation after the programs met the engineering accreditation standards stipulated in the bylaws of the Arab Authority for Engineering and Technology Accreditation.
The accreditation renewal covers the Architecture Engineering and Civil Engineering programs, while the decision also grants accreditation to the Renewable Energy Engineering program for the first time by the Arab Authority for Engineering and Technology Accreditation. The accreditation is valid for four years, from July 2026 through June 2030.
This achievement reflects the distinguished level attained by the academic programs offered by the Faculty of Engineering at Amman Arab University, as well as its continued commitment to quality assurance and engineering accreditation standards. It also demonstrates the Faculty’s dedication to aligning its educational outcomes with labor market needs and the rapidly evolving developments in the engineering and technology sectors.
This accomplishment is the result of the Faculty of Engineering’s sustained efforts, supported and followed up by the University administration, as well as the commitment of its academic and administrative staff to continuously enhancing the educational process and strengthening standards of quality and academic excellence. These efforts contribute to preparing qualified engineers equipped with the knowledge and skills necessary to compete locally, regionally, and internationally.
On this occasion, Dr. Al-Assaf emphasized that the renewal of accreditation, together with obtaining accreditation for the Renewable Energy Engineering program for the first time, represents a new milestone in the Faculty’s journey toward academic excellence and quality. He noted that the achievement further strengthens the standing of Amman Arab University and its engineering programs and reaffirms its commitment to implementing best practices and internationally recognized standards in engineering education.
With this achievement, Amman Arab University continues its journey toward academic excellence and accreditation, further strengthening its presence in the field of engineering education in line with its vision of providing high-quality education that keeps pace with future requirements and contributes to the service of society and the labor market.
