Dean of the Faculty of Engineering at Amman Arab University (AAU) Participates in AI RETREAT 2026 Conference
In line with the vision and mission of Amman Arab University to strengthen its academic and scientific standing and enhance its active presence and participation in academic and scientific conferences and events, and in implementation of the directives of Professor Dr. Mohammad Al-Widyan, President of the University, Dr. Anwar Al-Assaf, Dean of the Faculty of Engineering, participated as a keynote speaker at the AI RETREAT 2026 Conference, held at the Boulevard Al Abdali Hotel in Amman under the theme “Higher Education in the Age of Artificial Intelligence.”
During the conference, Dr. Al-Assaf presented a number of insights and perspectives on the role of artificial intelligence in advancing higher education, highlighting the importance of leveraging emerging technologies to support the educational process and enhance the quality of academic outcomes. He also emphasized the need to equip students with the knowledge and skills that align with the evolving demands of the future job market.
Dr. Al-Assaf’s participation reflects Amman Arab University’s commitment to keeping pace with the rapid developments in artificial intelligence and its applications in higher education, as well as its efforts to harness modern technologies to enhance academic and educational practices in line with the requirements of the future and the ongoing digital transformation.
This participation further demonstrates the University’s commitment to strengthening its academic and scientific presence at prominent events and conferences, while fostering the exchange of expertise and knowledge with academic institutions and specialists in the field of artificial intelligence. It also supports the University’s strategic direction toward innovation, digital transformation, and the advancement of higher education, while highlighting the active role of the Faculty of Engineering in keeping pace with emerging technological developments, supporting research and academic advancement, and reinforcing the University’s position as an educational institution responsive to the demands of the Artificial Intelligence era.
