“Amman Arab University” (AAU) Organizes a Lecture Entitled “The Use of Reference Management Software in Literature Reviews and Digital Academic Publishing”
As part of Amman Arab University’s ongoing efforts to support scientific research and develop the academic capabilities of its faculty members and graduate students, the Faculty of Pharmacy organized a specialized online scientific lecture entitled: “The Use of Reference Management Software in Literature Reviews and Digital Academic Publishing.” The lecture was presented by Dr. Mohammad Ali Khalil, a faculty member at the college.
The lecture addressed the latest technologies and innovative methods for preparing Literature Reviews based on rigorous scientific and methodological foundations. It focused on two main areas:
• Introduction to Scientific Reference Management Tools: Reviewing the mechanisms of using Citation Manager Softwares, highlighting their role in organizing research work, saving time and effort, and reducing common errors in the preparation of scientific studies and research.
• Practical Application: Participants received intensive training on the “Zotero” software. This covered methods for organizing scientific sources, importing bibliographic data, managing references, and automatically inserting in-text citations according to globally recognized academic styles. This training aims to enhance researchers’ efficiency and elevate the quality of their scientific output.
In this regard, Prof. Dr. Rana Abu Huwaij, Dean of the Faculty of Pharmacy at Amman Arab University, expressed her appreciation for the outstanding interaction from the participants during the session. This engagement was reflected in scientific discussions and constructive inquiries that deepened the lecture’s content and promoted the exchange of expertise.
She also praised the efforts of Dr. Mohammad Ali Khalil for his high-quality scientific and practical presentation. Concluding her remarks, she emphasized the importance of such events in supporting the academic environment and developing researchers’ skills to keep pace with the latest developments in scientific research and digital transformation.
