The College of Information Technology at Amman Arab University (AAU) Conducts a Field Visit to Enhance School Students’ Skills in Robotics and Artificial Intelligence
Based on Amman Arab University’s mission to serve the local community and strengthen its leading role in modern technology, the College of Information Technology organized a field visit to Zaid Bin Al-Harith Secondary School for Boys in the University District. The visit, supervised by Dr. Majdi Salameh, was part of a partnership with the Ibdaa Association to organize a robotics competition for schools. The competition aims to develop students’ skills in programming and creative thinking, and to encourage them to innovate and use modern technologies to solve problems.
The visit was part of a broader initiative to promote robotics and artificial intelligence skills among school students. The school principal, Dr. Mahmoud Al-Adwan, along with several teachers and administrators, welcomed the delegation. They emphasized the importance of the visit in developing the educational environment and fostering a culture of creativity and innovation among students. The visit aimed to organize practical training workshops for both students and teachers, contributing to their preparation and encouraging their active participation in the school robotics competition, which will be held under the auspices of Amman Arab University. During the visit, Dr. Majdi Salameh reviewed the students’ readiness and the training methods employed, praising the efforts of the teaching and administrative staff in developing students’ skills in robotics and enhancing their innovative thinking. This reflects the school’s commitment to keeping pace with modern technological advancements.
The visit also included organizing practical training workshops for both students and teachers, which will contribute to their preparation and encourage their active participation in the school robotics competition, which will be held under the auspices of Amman Arab University.
In this regard, Dr. Rami Sahwil, Dean of the College of Information Technology at Amman Arab University, emphasized the importance of these initiatives in promoting integration between educational institutions and their role in developing students’ skills in the fields of robotics and artificial intelligence. This contributes to preparing a creative generation capable of keeping pace with the requirements of the times and rapid technological developments.
