With the Participation of Medical Staff and Volunteers, Amman Arab University (AAU) Provides Healthcare to More Than 500 Beneficiaries and a Number of Persons with Disabilities During Free Medical Days

Amman Arab University, through its Health Center, organized free medical days from 15 to 17 September 2026, serving more than 500 beneficiaries from surrounding areas, including about 60 persons with disabilities. The initiative provided family and emergency medicine, laboratory tests, vital sign measurements, and dispensed 517 prescriptions covering two to three months of medications. Twelve cases were referred to hospitals, and several previously undiagnosed conditions were detected, such as hypertension, diabetes, and polycystic ovaries. Five doctors and 25 volunteers from medical, nursing, and pharmacy backgrounds participated, alongside local and international organizations. The university also arranged transportation and is securing wheelchairs for those in need. The initiative reflects the university’s commitment to community service and plans are underway for a new medical initiative in a nearby village.
