Amman Arab University (AAU) Participates in the First Scientific Conference Management Capacity-Building Conference to Enhance Research Quality and Strategic Partnerships
As part of its commitment to advancing its research ecosystem and enhancing the efficiency of scientific conference management, Amman Arab University, under the directives of its President, Professor Mohammad Al-Wedyan, and with the support of Dr. Anwar Al-Assaf, Dean of the Faculty of Engineering, participated in the First Capacity-Building Conference on Scientific Conference Management, hosted by Al-Zaytoonah University of Jordan in collaboration with the Institute of Electrical and Electronics Engineers (IEEE) – Jordan Section.
The university was represented by an academic delegation comprising Dr. Akram Musa, Head of the Department of Renewable Energy Engineering at the Faculty of Engineering, and Dr. Omar Al-Maaitah, faculty member at the Faculty of Information Technology. During the conference, they participated in specialized sessions addressing the latest international standards and best practices in scientific conference management, with particular emphasis on the implementation of IEEE standards to ensure the quality of scientific research, enhance publication opportunities, and increase research impact.
The conference also provided a platform for discussing opportunities to strengthen collaboration among the 24 participating Jordanian universities, establish strategic partnerships for the development of scientific conference management, and explore the creation of smart national platforms to document conference outputs and integrate them with international databases in line with the digital transformation of higher education.
This participation reflects Amman Arab University’s ongoing commitment to adopting global best practices in scientific conference management and leveraging advanced digital solutions and emerging technologies to improve research quality and enhance the efficiency of academic event management. It is also aligned with the University’s strategic vision of advancing scientific research through the adoption of innovative digital applications and artificial intelligence technologies in the organization and management of scientific conferences and academic events, transforming them into dynamic platforms for knowledge production and sustainable scientific collaboration.
Through its participation, Amman Arab University aims to transfer international expertise and best practices into its own conference management processes across its faculties, thereby enhancing the quality of its academic outcomes, strengthening its competitiveness, and reinforcing its presence in international rankings and accreditation frameworks.
