President of Amman Arab University Receives Delegation from German Agency for International Cooperation (GIZ)

Prof. Dr. Mohammad Al-Widyan, President of Amman Arab University, received a delegation from the German Agency for International Cooperation (GIZ), headed by Mr. Ziad Al-Maaytah, Deputy Director of GIZ’s Jordan office. The meeting, coordinated by the University’s Innovation, Creativity, and Entrepreneurship Center, aimed to enhance joint cooperation in sustainable development, education, training, energy, environment, and other areas of mutual interest.

Attended by Dr. Samer Ayasrah, Director of the Innovation, Creativity, and Entrepreneurship Center; Mr. Youssef Al-Khalid from the Center; Mr. Salah Al-Jamani, Private Sector Development Advisor; and Ms. Priska Watko from GIZ, the meeting included an overview of the University’s vision, mission, and unique academic programs such as the Faculty of Aviation Sciences, the Faculty of Applied Medical Sciences, and specialized master’s programs in Pharmacovigilance and Regulatory Affairs, Arbitration and Commercial Dispute Resolution, and Strategic Management—all aligned with labor market needs. Dr. Al-Widyan also highlighted the University’s diverse initiatives with governmental, local, and international institutions, as well as its advanced global rankings.

The GIZ delegation presented their agency’s activities, partnerships, and potential future collaborations, expressing readiness to implement joint programs with the University, particularly in internships, sustainable development, and energy sectors. Dr. Ayasrah showcased the Center’s recent programs with local and international organizations, focusing on student training, employment, innovation, entrepreneurship, and trainer development.

Both parties emphasized the meeting’s significance and committed to advancing cooperation through joint initiatives benefiting students and the local community.
