Initiatives to Enhance a Culture of Participation Among Students at Amman Arab University
Amman Arab University launched the initiatives “Give Me Your Book” and “Student Guidance” to enhance a culture of participation among its students. The initiatives were launched under the patronage of Professor Mohammad Al-Widyan, President of the University, during a ceremony organized by the Deanship of Student Affairs at the beginning of each semester. The event was attended by Dr. Mohammad Bin Tarif, Dean of Student Affairs, Dr. Rami Hnanadeh, Assistant Dean of Student Affairs, and students from various faculties.
On this occasion, Dr. Al-Widyan expressed his happiness and support for such initiatives, which aim to promote a spirit of cooperation among students. He highlighted the importance of these initiatives in fostering a deeper sense of social responsibility and in reaching all students of the university, encouraging them to participate in such initiatives. He also emphasized that the university strives to engage students in extracurricular activities that meet their needs and desires, filling their free time with activities that benefit them.
For his part, Dr. Bin Tarif stated that this initiative is one of the Deanship of Student Affairs’ seasonal initiatives, aimed at enhancing social responsibility among students by encouraging the exchange of scientific references and books among them. This, in turn, promotes sustainability by allowing more than one student to benefit from the same books. Regarding the “Student Guidance” initiative, he explained that it aims to facilitate the process of aligning students with the university environment and speed up the completion of transactions that serve students in various departments of the university.
Dr. Hnanadeh, for his part, expressed his encouragement for these initiatives, which aim to strengthen cooperation among students and deepen their sense of responsibility. He emphasized the goal of reaching all students and encouraging them to participate in these initiatives, ensuring the optimal use of available resources. The “Student Guidance” initiative also encourages current students to share their experiences with new students, introducing them to the services the university offers, which enriches their knowledge and helps them integrate into university life. This prepares them to provide these services to future students, creating an interactive and sustainable atmosphere for such student initiatives.
