Amman Arab University Participates in Meeting with Minister of Political and Parliamentary Affairs and Deans of Student Affairs

Amman Arab University participated in the meeting held by His Excellency the Minister of Political and Parliamentary Affairs, Engineer Abdel moneim Al-Owdat, with the deans of student affairs at Jordanian public and private universities. The meeting took place at the ministry’s headquarters and discussed several issues related to public affairs and the role of universities in political modernization. Representing Amman Arab University at the meeting was the Dean of Student Affairs, Dr. Mohammed Bin Tarif.

During the meeting, Al-Owdat emphasized that the rule of law has been the foundation enabling Jordan to overcome crises and challenges. He stressed the importance of universities’ role in fostering informed national dialogue, particularly concerning pressing political issues. He clarified that universities are not separate from the political modernization project launched by His Majesty King Abdullah II bin Al-Hussein but are at the heart of this transformative initiative, which marks a turning point in the path of the Jordanian state.

The project aims to expand political participation, strengthen partisan life, and instill the values of democracy and active citizenship among youth.

For his part, Dr. Bin Tarif highlighted the importance of empowering students to engage in political and partisan life through a university environment that embraces pluralism and promotes constructive dialogue. He praised the existing cooperation between universities and official institutions in supporting the political reform process.

Amman Arab University’s participation in this meeting reflects its ongoing efforts to engage in national issues and enhance its role as an active partner in the comprehensive modernization process witnessed by the Hashemite Kingdom of Jordan.
